I just wanted take a moment to say I love my Ergo. It looks like an old jansport backpack, and I did get it secondhand (at my favorite Consignment store I paid just under $25 - they sell for $90+ new). It is like a baby bjorn except holds much bigger babies, Gabe is well over 20 pounds (not sure as he hasn't been weighed in a few months) and usually I max out at about 14 pounds for wearing babies comfortably on my front. I can wear him in the Ergo for hours and not feel it, and not even be sore later. It is like a sling wrap but with straps so I almost never have to adjust it. I have worn Levi in it on my back, although he protested because he thinks of it being for "Gabey." I put Levi in it while we were purchasing the tent trailer. There were some problems hooking up the lights to our van and we ended up standing outside these people's homes for 2+ hours. They lived on a busy street so I couldn't just let Levi out of the car and I had no stroller with me. So I put Levi in the Ergo, put it on my back and held Gabe (yes, I was sore and tired the next day). Gabe has also taken several naps in it, which is great because he really doesn't like to nap in his stroller. He seems to like the closeness of it.
So I recommend the Ergo to anyone who has a baby that likes to be close to you and especially if you have other kids that need your hands. I see lots of ladies using them who have a toddler, like me, and a baby. Also, they are great for heavy babies, those who reach 20+ pounds around 6 months!
I am adding the link to the Ergo website to my links, I know they are also available used through Craigslist or at local consignment stores, if you get as lucky as I did!
