A Happy Easter

We had a busy and fun day on Sunday, celebrating Easter with family. We went to church in the morning and then drove up to Bellingham. There we had lunch and the kids had Easter egg hunts. Grammy Dee had 48 people in attendance and it was packed! I know the kids will have great memories of these fun times. They all enjoyed the egg hunts and seeing everyone and being spoiled by Grammy Dee.
After the egg hunt we headed to my sister's house in Mt. Vernon where we relaxed a bit. I love this photo of my nieces Rachel and Diana holding Gabe and Levi. Levi absolutely adores them both! Rachel and Lee turned 15 a day after Easter this year so we sung "Happy Birthday" to them and had some cake before heading home.
I was so exhausted and came home to a huge mess (that I had made getting ready for the big day). Everything is back to "normal" around here now and we have even managed to get two good days of school work done so far this week. We will be taking next week off since Kaleb will have Spring Break, so that thought is keeping me motivated. We are very pleased with their progress this year in school (homeschool) and especially happy that Mackenzie is really starting to take off with her reading! I don't think things will ever be exactly quiet around here, but it sure is wonderful being a mom to these four great kiddos!
